Just when you thought you could catch your breath after CES 2025, Samsung is gearing up for a major tech reveal at today’s Galaxy Unpacked 2025.
For its first Galaxy Unpacked event of the year, Samsung will reveal a first look at its new mobile devices and a host of new AI features.
Of course, the highlight of the event will be the debut of the Galaxy S25 series. Expect a trio of smartphones: Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra. While the design will likely be familiar with the rounded edges, the biggest improvements are under the hood.

The S25 Ultra is said to get a slight makeover, with a larger 6.9-inch screen and an upgraded 50MP ultra-wide camera. Perhaps the most exciting change is what powers these devices: Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, built for generative AI.

This means we might see some key AI-powered features that Samsung hasn’t revealed yet.
Along with the new hardware, Samsung is likely to officially reveal One UI 7 on Galaxy Unpacked. Already in beta, this updated version of Samsung’s custom Android interface promises a more intuitive experience, with a tweaked notification system and a host of AI improvements. Samsung is hailing One UI 7 as the “first built-in artificial intelligence platform,” and with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, expect to see new AI-powered capabilities that could really set the S25 series apart.
Following the AI agent trend, rumors even point to a Samsung “agent AI” that will offer personalized recommendations in a variety of categories, from fashion to transportation.

Samsung is said to be developing a set of XR glasses in partnership with Google and Qualcomm under the name Project Moohan. The XR Glasses are expected to run the Android XR operating system.

While we’re just hours away from seeing the official unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S25 phones, a new leak suggests a possible pre-order bonus.
If the rumors are true, Samsung will offer twice the storage size of pre-ordered phones between January 22 and February 6 for the same price, according to Dealabs.
This means you can get a 512GB version of the Samsung Galaxy S25 for the same price as the 256GB version, the site claims.
An important caveat to this is that this leak talked about EU-specific deals, so it’s unclear at this point if the special offer will also include the US market. But we don’t have long to wait to find out!

Samsung fans are getting more than just new phones today – One UI 7 is confirmed to launch alongside the Galaxy S25 series.
The operating system is available in beta on S24 phones from December 5, 2024, offering more customization, call transcript and a wide variety of new Galaxy AI features.

Expect mostly iterative updates to the Samsung S25 line of phones and a slew of new features for the Galaxy AI. For example, a recent leak teased a feature called Insights, which provides users with a daily briefing when they wake up, including news, weather and health data.
